Short Introduction

The Digital Media Head is expected to lead the Media team in setting strategy, media planning and buying, campaign implementation and optimization with the objective of achieving profitability through effective service pricing and delivery of media services to clients in accordance with established standards and budgets. 

The role stays up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices and is able to identify new opportunities and strategies for improving overall performance as well as growth.

Duties and Responsibilities

1.) Process & Profitability Management

  • Drive process for crafting digital media plan and strategy and directing the daily workflow of all paid campaigns.
  • Analyze and improve departmental processes to increase team efficiency.
  • Partner with key business unit leads in building wider practice of integration across the agency units.
  • Acquire or grow existing clients' business and/or develop and introduce new products or services to the current NuWorks media offering.

2.) Media Planning and Strategy

  • Lead pitch processes and requirements for the media department.
  • Provide oversight and direction on strategy across all accounts and campaigns handled.
  • Involvement and guidance to ensure achievable and relevant translation of campaign brief/objective to media plan and strategy.
  • Ensure that campaigns perform against business goals/financial targets: cost reduction, sales, and new business acquisition.
  • Confidently present media strategy and measurement plans to clients and internal stakeholders.

3.) Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Collaboration with ad ops team in crafting actionable insights in report creation resulting in timely optimizations to maximization of campaign performance.
  • Providing insights and recommendations on performance to identify effectiveness of the campaign and identifying opportunities for future optimization.
  • Confidently present data and optimization strategies to clients and internal stakeholders if and when required.

4.) Project Management & Relationship Building

  • Partner with key business unit leads in building wider practice of integration across the agency units
  • Develop relationships and spearhead collaborations with external partners and publishers
  • Working closely with internal teams, clients and other stakeholders to ensure smooth campaign execution and deliverables.
  • Maintaining open communication channels, addressing client concerns, and providing strategic guidance throughout the campaign lifecycle.
  • Reinforce team's accountability on proper documentation of cost estimates and contracts with clients.

5.) Ad Technology Management

  • Regularly contribute to media best practices, new executions and campaign processes.
  • Staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and new media opportunities.
  • Continuously learning and evaluating innovative media approaches to enhance campaign strategies and differentiate clients from competitors.

6.) Leadership

  • Recruit, train, motivate, and develop their team members to ensure that they perform at their best.
  • Develop and implement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives (BSC)
  • Set clear performance standards, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback to help employees improve and grow.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, colleagues, and stakeholders to ensure that everyone is on the same page and working towards the same goals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and encourage team members to come up with new ideas and solutions.

  • Has Expertise in working with paid media tools such as Google Ads, META Business Tools, TikTok Ads, etc.
  • Has strong analytical skills and can execute through a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
  • Has Familiarity in using other ad ops and data visualization tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Tableau, Looker Studio, etc.
  • Is Excellent with client management, project management & presentation skills to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Has the ability to work remotely and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Is able to demonstrate success in managing large clients/big budget campaigns.
  • Is Excellent with project management and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Has Effective negotiation skills and resource management.
  • Has Planning and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Has Excellent communication skills with experience in presenting thoughts, ideas, and data
  • Has Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides)

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Advertising, Marketing, Business, Statistics, Economics or any related field is preferred but not a must.
  • At least 6 years of experience in planning / buying or related fields or a proven track record in a similar position, working with a team in a similar or adjacent industry.
  • Experience working with paid media tools such as Google Ads, META Business Tools, TikTok Ads, etc.
  • Previous leadership/management experience is required.
  • Possesses a solutions mindset and an ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Eager to learn, adaptable, and have a strong interest in the advertising/media industry.
  • Eloquent and fluent in English in both speaking and in writing.
