Short Introduction

The Project Manager for Tech is in charge of planning and supervising projects within an organization, from initial planning to completion. He/she organizes people and processes in order to complete projects on schedule, within budget, and with intended outputs that are consistent with objectives.

The role stays up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices and is able to identify new opportunities and strategies for improving overall performance as well as growth.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. PLANNING
   • Responsible for drafting the project plan to meet the project’s objectives while adhering to an approved budget and timeline.
   • Includes the project’s scope, necessary resources, anticipated time and financial requirements, communication strategy, execution and documentation plan, and a proposal for follow-up and maintenance.
   • Project plan must have approval from stakeholders, serving as a critical part of the pitch to key decision-makers.

2. LEADING AND EXECUTION
   • Demonstrate constant communication and leadership skills.
   • Possess a keen eye for others’ strengths and weaknesses of all team members.
   • Supervise the successful execution of each stage of the project.
   • Maintain frequent, open communication with the project team members and stakeholders.

3. TIME MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET
   • Complete any project on schedule.
   • Resolve derailments and communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders to ensure the project gets back on track.
   • Identify and mitigate risks before they happen, with contingency planning for moving forward even when roadblocks occur.
   • Allocate the budget for a project and stick to it as closely as possible.

4. DOCUMENTATION
   • Develop effective ways to measure and analyze the project’s progress.
   • Document project status reports.
   • Ensure that all relevant actions are approved in written format and that these documents are archived for future reference.

  • Is Excellent project management and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within budget.
  • Has Effective negotiation skills and resource management.

  • Has Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides)

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems and/or other related courses.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience as Project Manager/coordinator or a proven track record in a similar position, working with a team in a similar or adjacent industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in using software applications for project delivery, budgeting, time planning, and time tracking.
  • Familiarity with product development life cycle management.
  • Skilled both in Agile and Hybrid (Agile-waterfall) methodologies.
